SRS components are located in this area. Review the SRS component locations and the precautions and procedures before doing repairs or service.
Front Door Sill Area
NOTE:
- Put on gloves to protect your hands.
- Use the appropriate tool from the KTC trim tool set to avoid damage when removing components.
- Take care not to bend or scratch the trim and panels.
1. Left side: Remove the driver's dashboard undercover.
2. Remove the left kick panel (A) or the right kick panel (B).
1. Pull out the front door inner seal (C) from the kick panel hook (D) and the front door opening flange.
2. Pull the kick panel back by hand to detach the clips, and to release the hook (E) and tab (F) from the front door sill trim (G), then remove the panel. On the driver's side, pull the hood opener knob (H) and hold it while removing the panel.
3. Pull out the front door inner seal (A) from the trim hooks (B) and around the front door opening flange, then remove the seal.
4. Remove the B-pillar lower trim.
5. Pull the front door sill trim (A) up by hand to detach the clips, and release the hooks (B) from the slits in the carpet (C), then remove the trim.
6. Install the trim in the reverse order of removal, and note these items:
- Check for damaged or stress-whitened clips, and if necessary, replace them with new ones.
- Push the clips into place securely.
Rear Door Sill Area
NOTE:
- Put on gloves to protect your hands.
- Use the appropriate tool from the KTC trim tool set to avoid damage when removing components.
- Take care not to bend or scratch the trim and panels.
1. Pull out the rear door inner seal (A) from the trim hooks (B) and around the rear door opening flange, then remove the trim.
2. Remove the B-pillar lower trim.
3. Remove the front lower portion of the cargo area side trim panel as needed.
4. While pulling the front lower portion of the cargo area side trim panel (A) back to release the hooks (B), pull the rear door sill trim (C) up by hand to detach the clips, then remove the trim.
5. Install the trim in the reverse order of removal, and note these items:
- Check for damaged or stress-whitened clips, and if necessary, replace them with new ones.
- Push the clips into place securely.
