Trim Removal/Installation - Rear Side Area

Special Tools Required

KTC trim tool set SOJATP2014 *
* Available through the American Honda Tool and Equipment Program

NOTE:
- Put on gloves to protect your hands.
- Take care not to bend or scratch the trim and panels.
- Use the appropriate tool from the KTC trim tool set to avoid damage when removing components.

1. Remove these items:
- Rear door inner seal, as needed
- Tailgate weatherstrip, as needed
- Rear trim panel
- Cargo area floor
- Rear seat belt lower anchor




2. Remove the tie down hooks (A).




3. Remove the cargo area side trim panel (A).
1. Remove the screws (B) and release the clips (C).
2. Pull the upper edge of the panel back to release the upper hooks (D) from the quarter pillar trim (E).
3. Detach the clips (F, G, H), disengage the front hooks (I) from the rear door sill trim (J), and pull the panel back to remove it from the rear seat striker (K).
4. Disconnect the cargo area light connector (L).

4. Install the panel in the reverse order of removal, and note these items:
- Check for damaged or stress-whitened clips, and if necessary, replace them with new ones.
- Make sure the cargo area light connector is plugged in properly.
- When installing the panel, make sure these are no pinches in the seat belt.
- Push the clips into place securely.
- Before installing the anchor bolt, make sure there are no twists or kinks in the seat belt.
