Auxiliary Power Outlet: Service and Repair
Accessory Power Socket Test/Replacement1. Remove the rear console.
2. Disconnect the 2P connector.
3. Inspect the connector terminals to be sure they are all making good contact.
- If the terminals are bent, loose or corroded, repair them as necessary, and recheck the system.
- If the terminals look OK, go to step 4.
4. Turn the ignition switch ACC (I), and measure the voltage between the No. 1 and No. 2 terminals.
- There should be battery voltage.
- If there is no voltage, check for:
- Blown No. 9 (10 A) fuse in the under-dash fuse/relay box
- Blown No. 53 (20 A) fuse in the main under-hood fuse/relay box (CR model)
- Faulty ACC cut relay
- Faulty accessory power socket relay (CR model)
- Poor ground (G601)
- Poor ground (G401) (CR model)
- An open in the wire
5. Remove the housing and socket.
