Engine overheats

Diagnostic Procedure:

1. Check the coolant level.

2. Check for the coolant leakage (from gaskets, hoses, O-rings, etc.).

3. Check for dirt, leaves, or insects on radiator and condenser.

4. Check for a broken drive belt. Testing and Inspection

5. Check the drive belt auto-tensioner. Testing and Inspection

6. Check for deteriorated coolant.

7. Check for damaged or deformed fan shroud.

8. Inspect the fan motors Testing and Inspection or fan relays. Testing and Inspection

9. Check the radiator cap. Testing and Inspection

10. Check the thermostat. Testing and Inspection

11. Inspect the water pump. Testing and Inspection

12. Check for plugged or deteriorated radiator hoses.

13. Check for plugged heater core of hoses.

14. Check for a damaged cylinder head gasket.
