Seat Cover Replacement
Special Tools Required
- KTC trim tool set SOJATP2014*
NOTE:
- Take care not to tear or damage the seat covers.
- Use the appropriate tool from the KTC trim tool set to avoid damage when removing components.
- Put on gloves to protect your hands.
Seat-back Cover '00-05 Models
1. Remove the seat-back cover in the numbered sequence.
2. Install the cover in the reverse order of removal, and note these items:
- To prevent wrinkles when installing a seat-back cover, make sure the material is stretched evenly over the pad before securing the clips, the Velcro fasteners, and the hooks.
- Replace the released upholstery rings with new ones using commercially available upholstery ring pliers.
- If the head restraint cover clips are damaged or stress-whitened, replace them with new ones.
Seat-back Cover '06-09 Models
1. Remove the seat-back cover in numbered sequence.
2. Install the cover in the reverse order of removal, and note these items:
- To prevent wrinkles when installing a seat-back cover, make sure the material is stretched evenly over the pad before securing the upholstery rings, the Velcro fasteners, and the hooks.
- Replace the released upholstery rings with new ones using commercially available upholstery ring pliers.
Seat Cushion Cover
1. Remove the seat; '00-05 models, '06-09 models. Removal and Replacement
2. Remove the seat cushion, driver's; '00-05 models, '06-09 models, Seat Disassembly/Reassembly - Drivers passenger's; '00-05 models, '06-09 models. Seat Disassembly/Reassembly - Passengers
3. Remove the seat cushion cover in the numbered sequence.
4. Install the cover in the reverse order of removal, and note these items:
- To prevent wrinkles when installing a seat cushion cover, make sure the material is stretched evenly over the pad before securing the upholstery rings.
- Replace the released upholstery rings with new ones using commercially available upholstery ring pliers.
