Front Seat Rail Replacement

- KTC Trim Tool Set SOJATP2014

SRS components are located in this area. Review the SRS component locations, 2-door SRS Component Location Index (2-Door), 4-door SRS Component Location Index (4-Door) and the precautions and procedures Service and Repair before doing repairs or service.

Check the operation of the driver's seat position sensor Testing and Inspection after driver's seat position sensor replacement.

NOTE:

- Put on gloves to protect your hands.
- Take care not to tear or damage the seat covers.
- Use the appropriate tool from the KTC trim tool set to avoid damage when removing components.

1. Raise the seat all the way up.

2. Remove the front seat Front Seat Removal/Installation.

3. Remove these items:

- Front cover:
- 2-door
- 4-door

- Recline cover:
- 2-door
- 4-door

- Center cover:
- 2-door
- 4-door

- Driver's seat position sensor Service and Repair
- Seat belt buckle:
- 2-door
- 4-door

- Upper rail outer cover
- Upper rail inner cover

4. Disconnect the slide motor connector (A), then detach the harness clip (B).






5. Remove the bolts and the nuts, then remove the front seat rail (A).






6. Install the seat rail in the reverse order of removal, and note these items:

- If the clips are damaged or stress-whitened, replace them with new ones.
- Push the clips into place securely.
- Check the seat slide operation.
