Water Outlet Removal/Installation




Water Outlet Removal and Installation

1. Drain the engine coolant Service and Repair.

2. Disconnect the breather pipe (A), then remove the intake air duct (B).

NOTE:

- '08-10 models: Before you torque the hose clamp screw (C), align the edge of the clamp (D) with the painted mark (E).
- '11-12 models: After you torque the hose clamp screw (F), mark sure the clearance (G) is less than 1.0 mm (0.039 in).





3. Disconnect the upper radiator hose (A), the heater hose (B), and the water bypass hose (C).





4. A/T (with ATF warmer): Disconnect the water bypass hose (D).

5. Remove the intake manifold.

6. Remove the connecting pipe mounting bolts (A), then remove the connecting pipe (B).






7. Disconnect the ECT sensor 1 connector (A), then remove the water outlet (B).





8. Install the water outlet with a new O-ring (C).

9. Install the other parts in the reverse order of removal.

10. Refill the radiator with engine coolant, and bleed the air from the cooling system Service and Repair.

11. Clean up any spilled engine coolant.
