EPS DTC Troubleshooting: 31-01

DTC 31-01 : Torque Sensor Neutral Position Not Written

1. Torque sensor neutral position memorization:

-1. Turn the ignition switch to ON (II).

-2. Clear the DTC with the HDS.

-3. Do the memorizing of the torque sensor neutral position Testing and Inspection.

-4. Turn the ignition switch to LOCK (0), then turn it to ON (II) again.

-5. Check for DTCs with the HDS.

Is DTC 31-01 indicated?
-YES- Replace the steering gearbox (torque sensor) Steering Gearbox Removal/Installation.
-NO- Troubleshooting is complete.
