EPS DTC Troubleshooting: 81-03, 85-01

DTC 81-03 : Yaw Rate Sensor Failure
DTC 85-01 : Problem in VSA System

1. Problem verification:

Problem verification
-1. Turn the ignition switch to ON (II).

-2. Clear the DTC with the HDS.

-3. Turn the ignition switch to LOCK (0).

-4. Start the engine.

-5. Start the engine, and wait 30 seconds or more.

-6. Check for DTCs with the HDS

Is DTC 81-03 or 85-01 indicated?
-YES- The failure is duplicated. Troubleshoot the VSA system Reading and Clearing Diagnostic Trouble Codes.
-NO- Intermittent failure, the system is OK at this time.
