Open wire check (F_CAN-L, F_CAN-H lines)
-1. Turn the ignition switch to LOCK (0).

-2. Disconnect the following connectors.

-3. Check for continuity between test points 1 and 2.

Is there continuity?
-YES- The F_CAN-L, F_CAN-H wires are OK. Go to step 3.
-NO- Repair an open in the wire between the steering angle sensor and the VSA modulator-control unit.

3. Open wire check (IG1_VSA/ABS line):

Open wire check (IG1_VSA/ABS line)
-1. Turn the ignition switch to ON (II).

-2. Measure the voltage between test points 1 and 2.

Is there battery voltage?
-YES- The IG1_VSA/ABS wire is OK. Go to step 4.
-NO- Repair an open in the wire between the No. B24 (7.5 A) fuse in the under-dash fuse/relay box and the steering angle sensor.
