Removal

1. Mainshaft Oil Seal





1. Remove the mainshaft oil seal (A) using a commercially available oil seal remover.

NOTE: Be careful not to damage the torque converter housing while removing the oil seal.

Installation

1. Mainshaft Oil Seal





1. Install the mainshaft oil seal (A) flush with the torque converter housing using oil seal driver C.

NOTE: Do not drive the oil seal into the torque converter housing until it bottoms out; it will block the fluid return passage and cause transmission damage.
