DTC Troubleshooting: B1575
DTC B1575 : Auto Light Sensor Malfunction
1. Problem verification:
Problem verification
-1. Clear the DTCs with the HDS.
-2. Turn the ignition switch to LOCK (0) and then back to ON (II).
-3. Check for DTCs with the HDS.
Is DTC B1575 indicated?
-YES- Go to step 2.
-NO- Intermittent failure, the system is OK at this time.
2. Open wire check (AUTO_LT_SIO, AUTO_LT_SIP, AUTO_LT_SIG lines):
Open wire check (AUTO_LT_SIO, AUTO_LT_SIP, AUTO_LT_SIG lines)
-1. Turn the ignition switch to LOCK (0).
-2. Disconnect the following connectors.
-3. Check for continuity between test points 1 and 2 respectively.
Is there continuity?
-YES- Go to step 3.
-NO- Repair an open or high resistance in the wire.
3. Shorted wire check (AUTO_LT_SIO to AUTO_LT_SIP line):
Shorted wire check (AUTO_LT_SIO to AUTO_LT_SIP line)
-1. Check for continuity between test points 1 and 2.
Is there continuity?
-YES- Repair a short between the wires.
-NO- Go to step 4.
4. Open wire check (GND line):
Open wire check (GND line)
-1. Check for continuity between test points 1 and 2 individually.
Is there continuity?
-YES- Go to step 5.
-NO- Repair an open or high resistance in the wire or poor ground (G504).
5. Automatic lighting sensor power circuit check:
Automatic lighting sensor power circuit check
-1. Reconnect the automatic lighting control unit 14P connector.
-2. Turn the ignition switch to LOCK (0) and then back to ON (II).
-3. Measure the voltage between test points 1 and 2.
Is there about 5 V?
-YES- Replace the automatic lighting sensor Service and Repair.
-NO- Replace the automatic lighting control unit Service and Repair.
