Control System DTCs

EPS DTC Troubleshooting: 32-01, 32-02, 34-01, 34-05, 35-01, 35-02, 35-04, 35-05, 35-07, 36-02

DTC 32-01 : EPS Control Unit Internal Circuit (Current Sensor)
DTC 32-02 : EPS Control Unit Internal Circuit (Current Sensor Offset)
DTC 34-01 : Power Relay
DTC 34-05 : Power Relay Stuck OFF
DTC 35-01 : EPS Control Unit Internal Circuit (CPU)
DTC 35-02 : EPS Control Unit Internal Circuit (EEPROM1)
DTC 35-04 : EPS Control Unit Internal Circuit (CPU Communication)
DTC 35-05 : EPS Control Unit Internal Circuit (A/D Conversion)
DTC 35-07 : EPS Control Unit Internal Circuit (INHL/INHR Ports)(Initial Diagnosis/Regular Diagnosis)
DTC 36-02 : EPS Control Unit Internal Circuit (INH Output Circuit)

1. Problem verification:

Problem verification
-1. Turn the ignition switch to ON (II).

-2. Clear the DTC with the HDS.

-3. Turn the ignition switch to LOCK (0).

-4. Start the engine.

-5. Check for DTCs with the HDS.

Is DTC 32-01, 32-02, 34-01, 34-05, 35-01, 35-02, 35-04, 35-05, 35-07, or 36-02 indicated?
-YES- The failure is duplicated. Go to step 2.
-NO- Intermittent failure, the system is OK at this time. If another DTC is indicated, go to the indicated DTC's troubleshooting.

2. EPS control unit check (update):

EPS control unit check (update)
-1. Turn the ignition switch to LOCK (0), then turn it to ON (II) again.

-2. Update the EPS control unit Programming and Relearning if it does not have the latest software.

-3. Start the engine.

-4. Check for DTCs with the HDS.

Is DTC 32-01, 32-02, 34-01, 34-05, 35-01, 35-02, 35-04, 35-05, 35-07, or 36-02 indicated?
-YES- Replace the EPS control unit Service and Repair.
-NO- Troubleshooting is complete.
