TPMS DTC Troubleshooting: 41

DTC 41 : Abnormal Signal Reception Error

NOTE: Inspect for an aftermarket electrical device(s) (such as an inverter, cell phone charger, CB radio, etc) interfering with the RF signal from the tire pressure sensors when driving the vehicle.

1. Wheel check:

Wheel check
-1. Turn the ignition switch to LOCK (0).

-2. Make sure all four wheels are TPMS type wheels with mounted tire pressure sensors.

Are TPMS type wheels with tire pressure sensors mounted on the vehicle?
-YES- Go to step 2.
-NO- Install a TPMS type wheel, and memorize the tire pressure sensor ID with the HDS.

2. TPMS control unit check 1:

-1. Memorize the tire pressure sensor IDs with the HDS Memorizing The Tire Pressure Sensor ID.

Did each tire pressure sensor respond to the TPMS tool?
-YES- Intermittent failure, the system is OK at this time.
-NO- Substitute a known-good TPMS control unit Service and Repair, then go to step 3.

3. TPMS control unit check 2:

TPMS control unit check 2
-1. Memorize the tire pressure sensor IDs with the HDS Memorizing The Tire Pressure Sensor ID.

Did each tire pressure sensor respond to the TPMS tool?
-YES- Replace the original TPMS control unit Service and Repair.
-NO- Do the troubleshooting for DTC 32, 34, 36, 38 32.
