DTC Troubleshooting: P2195
DTC P2195 : A/F Sensor (Sensor 1) Signal Stuck Lean
NOTE:
* Before you troubleshoot, record all freeze data and any on-board snapshot, and review the general troubleshooting information How To Troubleshoot The Fuel And Emissions Systems.
* If the vehicle was out of fuel and the engine stalled before this DTC was stored, refuel and clear the DTC with the HDS.
* If DTC P2101, P2118, P2135, P2138, P2176, or a combination of P2122 and P2127, P2122, and P2138, or P2127 and P2138 is stored at the same time, troubleshoot them first, then recheck for DTC P2195.
1. MAF sensor/IAT sensor visual check:
MAF sensor/IAT sensor visual check
-1. Remove the MAF sensor/IAT sensor. Service and Repair
-2. Check for dirt or debris in the MAF sensor/IAT sensor.
Is it dirty?
-YES- Remove the debris. If needed, replace the MAF sensor/IAT sensor Service and Repair, then do the repair verification.
-NO- Go to step 2.
2. A/F sensor (Sensor 1) installation check:

-1. Check the installation of the A/F sensor (Sensor 1).
Is the A/F sensor loose or disconnected from the exhaust pipe?
-YES- Reinstall the A/F sensor (Sensor 1), then do the repair verification.
-NO- Go to step 3.
3. Problem verification:

-1. Turn the ignition switch to ON (II).
-2. Clear the DTC with the HDS.
-3. Start the engine. Hold the engine speed at 3,000 rpm without load (in neutral) until the radiator fan comes on.
-4. Check for Pending or Confirmed DTCs with the HDS.
Is DTC P2195 indicated?
-YES- Check for poor connections or loose terminals at the A/F sensor (Sensor 1) and the ECM. Update the ECM if it does not have the latest software ECM/PCM Update, or substitute a known-good ECM Service and Repair, then do the repair verification.
-NO- Intermittent failure, the system is OK at this time. Check for poor connections or loose terminals at the A/F sensor (Sensor 1) and the ECM.
Repair verification (OBD STATUS check):
-1. Turn the ignition switch to ON (II).
-2. Reset the ECM with the HDS How To Troubleshoot The Fuel And Emissions Systems.
-3. Do the ECM idle learn procedure. ECM/PCM Idle Learn Procedure
-4. Start the engine, and let it idle without load (in neutral) until the radiator fan comes on.
-5. Monitor the OBD STATUS for DTC P2195 in the DTCs MENU with the HDS.
Does the HDS indicate PASSED, FAILED, or NOT COMPLETED?
-PASSED- Troubleshooting is complete. If the ECM was substituted, replace the original ECM Service and Repair. If any other Pending or Confirmed DTCs are indicated, go to the indicated DTC's troubleshooting.
-FAILED- Go to step 1 and recheck. If the ECM was updated, substitute a known-good ECM Service and Repair, then check the OBD STATUS again.
-NOT COMPLETED- Keep the test condition until a result comes on.
