Trunk Lid Lock Cylinder Removal and Installation

Removal

1. Trunk Lid Trim Panel





1. For some models: Remove the trunk lid trim panel (A).

2. Rear License Trim





1. Remove the bolt (A).





2. Pull out the rear license trim (A) to release the clip pins (B) from the clip grommets (C) on the trunk lid.

NOTE: The clip grommets will stay on the trunk lid.





3. Remove the clip grommets (A) from the trunk lid.

4. Install the clip grommets into the clip pins on the rear license trim.

NOTE: If the clip pins and the clip grommets are damaged or stress-whitened, replace them as an assembly with new ones.

3. Trunk Lid Lock Cylinder





1. Disconnect the cylinder rod (A).





2. Remove the bolt (A) securing the trunk lid lock cylinder (B).





3. Remove the bolt (A) securing the trunk lid lock cylinder (B).





4. Remove the trunk lid lock cylinder (A).

Installation

1. Trunk Lid Lock Cylinder





1. Install the trunk lid lock cylinder (A).





2. Install the bolt (A) securing the trunk lid lock cylinder (B).





3. Install the bolt (A) securing the trunk lid lock cylinder (B).





4. Connect the cylinder rod (A).

2. Rear License Trim





1. Hold up the rear license trim (A), and fit the clips into the holes in the trunk lid.

2. Push on the trim until the clips snap into place securely.





3. Install the bolt (A).

3. Trunk Lid Trim Panel





1. For some models: Install the trunk lid trim panel (A).
