Rear Stabilizer Link Removal and Installation

Removal

1. Vehicle Lift

1. Raise the vehicle on a lift, and make sure it is securely supported.

2. Rear Wheel





1. Remove the rear wheel.

3. Rear Stabilizer Link





1. Remove the self-locking nut (A) and the flange nut (B) while holding the respective joint pin (C) with a hex wrench (D).

2. Remove the stabilizer link (E).

Installation

1. Rear Stabilizer Link





1. Install the stabilizer link (A).

NOTE: The stabilizer link has a paint mark (B). Align the paint mark on the stabilizer link facing rearward.

2. Install the new self-locking nut (C) and the new flange nut (D), and tighten them to the specified torque while holding the respective joint pin (E) with a hex wrench (F).

2. Rear Wheel





1. Install the rear wheel.

NOTE: Before installing the wheel, clean the mating surfaces between the brake disc or the brake drum and the inside of the wheel.

3. Test Drive

1. Test-drive the vehicle.

4. Rear Stabilizer Link - Tighten

1. After 5 minutes of driving, torque the self-locking nut again to the specified torque.
