REPAIR PROCEDURE
1. Start the engine.
2. Make sure the audio menu appears on the iMID (intelligent Multi-Information Display) so you can see the messages during the update. If the audio menu is not on the iMID, repeatedly press the (Display/Information) button until the audio menu appears.
3. Using the power button, turn off the audio unit.
4. Enter the update mode by pressing and holding preset buttons No.1, No.3, and No.4. While holding the preset buttons, press the power button until the message A-DIAG UPDATE appears. Release the buttons.
NOTE:
If the A-DIAG UPDATE message does not appear, or the audio unit turns on, turn the audio unit off and repeat this step.
5. There are two phases to updating the vehicle:
loading the update, and applying the update.
To load the update, insert the update disc, and wait for the current audio unit software version number to appear on the iMID. When the number appears, the unit is automatically loading the update program. When the update loading is complete, the update disc automatically ejects.
6. To apply the update, remove the update disc.
Applying the update takes about 5 minutes, and the CD load indicator blinks to let you know the update is being applied.
NOTE:
You must remove the update disc to apply the update.
When the update is done, the CD load indicator stops blinking, the CD mechanism runs for 3 seconds, and the message AUDIO OFF appears on the iMID.
7. Check that the update has been applied by pressing and holding preset buttons No.1, No.3, and No.4. While holding the preset buttons, press the power button until the A-Diag screen appears. Press the SEEK UP button, and verify that the software version is 060E9B5A.
