Tailgate Release Actuator Test

1. Remove the tailgate lower trim panel .

2. Disconnect the 4P connector (A) from the tailgate release actuator (B).






3. Check the actuator operation by connecting battery power and ground according to the table. To prevent damage to the actuator, apply battery voltage only momentarily.





4. If the actuator does not work, the tailgate release actuator is faulty; replace the tailgate latch Service and Repair.
