Rear License Trim Replacement
NOTE:
- Put on gloves to protect your hands.
- Take care not to scratch the lower rear window.
1. Remove the lower rear window Lower Rear Window Replacement.
2. Separate the double-sided adhesive tapes (A), then remove the rear license trim (B) from the lower rear window (C).
3. Carefully rub off the remaining double-sided adhesive tape from the rear license trim and the lower rear window, then clean the trim and window surface with a sponge dampened with isopropyl alcohol. After cleaning, keep oil, grease, and water from getting on the clean surface.
4. If you are reusing the original rear license trim (A), apply PP primer to the areas where the new double-sided adhesive tapes (B, C, D, E) will be applied, then attach the new double-sided adhesive tapes to the trim as shown.
5. Apply PP primer to the bonding surface of the rear license trim (A), then attach the trim to the lower edge of the lower rear window (B).
NOTE:
- Align the notch (C) of the trim with the alignment mark (D) on the window.
- Align the trim with the alignment mark (E) on the window.
- When attaching the trim to the window, keep the condition at over 59°F (15°C).
- Push on the adhesive areas to make adhesives stick securely.
6. Reinstall the lower rear window Lower Rear Window Replacement.
