Rear Seat-Back Latch Replacement

NOTE:

- Put on gloves to protect your hands.
- Take care not to bend or scratch the interior trim.
- The left rear seat-back is shown; the right rear seat-back is similar.

1. Remove the rear seat-back.

2. Remove the seat-back cover/pad from the seat-back frame Rear Seat-Back Cover Replacement.

3. Detach the seat-back latch cable clips (A) fastening the seat-back latch cable (B) from the seat-back frame (C).






4. Remove the bolts securing the seat-back latch (A).






5. Release the pivot pins (A) of the latch knob (B) from the seat-back frame (C).






6. Pull the seat-back latch cable (A) out through the frame hole (B), then release the cable from the cable bracket (C) and remove the seat-back latch (D) from the seat-back frame (E).






7. Install the seat-back latch in the reverse order of removal, and note these items:

- If the clips are damaged or stress-whitened, replace them with new ones.
- Make sure the seat-back locks securely and unlocks properly.
