Rear Seat-Back Release Lever/Cable Removal/Installation

NOTE:

- Take care not to bend or scratch the interior trim.
- When prying with a flat-tip screwdriver, wrap it with protective tape to prevent damage.

1. Fold down the rear seat-back.

2. Remove the rear side trim panel Interior Trim Removal / Installation - Rear Side Area.

3. Push up the cable lock. Release the cable holder, and detach the cable clip fastening the remote fold down cable.

4. Pull the remote fold down cable stopper. Pull down the remote fold down cable cap, and separate joint piece A and joint piece B out through the slit.

5. Release the cable holder (A) fastening the rear seat-back release cable (B).






6. Disconnect the remote fold down cable (A) from the cable bracket (B). Remove the cable from the remote fold down handle (C).






7. Install the release lever/cable in the reverse order of removal, and note these items:

- Make sure the release cable is connected securely.
- Make sure the seat-back locks securely and unlocks properly.
