Volume is too high or too low when driving at freeway speeds

NOTE:

- Check the vehicle battery condition first Battery Test.
- Check the connectors for poor connections or loose terminals.

1. Test-drive the vehicle at highway speed, and monitor the volume level.

Is the volume level too high or too low?

YES -

Go to step 2.

NO -

Intermittent failure, the system is OK at this time.

2. Change the SVC mode setting in sound setup to Low, Mid, and High.

Is the volume level still too high or too low?

YES -

- With navigation: Replace the audio-navigation unit Audio-Navigation Unit Removal/Installation (With Navigation).
- Without navigation: Replace the audio unit Audio Unit Removal/Installation.

NO -

Improper SVC setting for the customer's sound preference. Advise the customer to try different SVC settings.
