License Plate Pocket Replacement

Removal Procedure

1. Open the liftgate.
2. Remove the liftgate trim panel. Refer toTrim Panel Replacement - Lift Gate (Trim Panel Replacement - Lift Gate) .




3. Remove the latch cable handle connection by releasing the retainer (1) and removing the cable end from the handle arm.




4. Disconnect the 2 license plate pocket electrical connectors (3).
5. Remove the 6 fasteners (1) retaining the plate pocket to the liftgate.
6. Release all of the clips (2) retaining the license plate pocket to the liftgate.
7. Remove the license plate pocket from the liftgate.



Installation Procedure





1. Place the license plate pocket in position on the liftgate, ensuring all of the retaining clips (2) are fully seated.

Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice Service Precautions in Cautions and Notices.

2. Install the 6 fasteners (1) retaining the license plate pocket to the liftgate.

Tighten the fasteners to 3 Nm (27 lb in).

3. Connect the 2 license plate electrical connectors (3).




4. Attach the latch control cable handle connection by installing the cable end into the handle arm (2) and securing the retainer (1).
5. Install the liftgate trim panel. Refer toTrim Panel Replacement - Lift Gate (Trim Panel Replacement - Lift Gate) .
