Bulletin No.: 03-08-67-002

Date: March 19, 2003

TECHNICAL

Subject:
Luggage Carrier Cross Rail Wind Rush Noise With Sunroof Open (Adjust Rail)

Models:
2003 HUMMER H2
with Sunroof
without Roof-Mounted Spot Light Rail

Condition

Some customers with vehicles equipped with a roof luggage rack and sunroof may comment that there is excessive noise while driving with the sunroof open.

Cause

The roof luggage rack cross bars may be positioned too far forward.

Correction

The roof luggage rack package includes stops that prevent the luggage carrier cross rail from being moved too far forward. This is necessary to avoid damage to the sunroof (if equipped), and to avoid interference with the OnStar system. It will also reduce the noise level while driving with the sunroof open.

1. Snap the stops onto the side rails at the location labeled "Sunroof Stop" as shown in the illustration above.

2. This illustration shows the cross rail and the stop clip installed in the correct Sunroof Stop" position.
