Lighting - Headlamps Aimed Too High

Bulletin No.: 03-08-42-003

Date: April 16, 2003

TECHNICAL

Subject:
Headlight Aim Too High (Adjust Aim)

Models:
2003 HUMMER H2

Condition

Some customers may comment that they are being flashed with the headlights of oncoming drivers while driving at night.

Cause

The headlamp aim may be too high.

Correction

Use the screen method for headlamp aiming. After the screen with the horizontal and vertical reference points has been established and the vehicle is in the position 7.5 m (25 ft) from the screen, aim the headlamps to a point 203 mm (8 in) below the horizontal line directly on the vertical lines. This will prevent oncoming drivers from being affected.
