Instrument Panel Compartment Door Latch Release Handle Replacement

Removal Procedure





1. Remove compartment door from instrument panel subscript. Refer toInstrument Panel Compartment Door Replacement (Instrument Panel Compartment Door Replacement) .
2. Place the compartment door on a work bench.




3. Remove the retaining screws to gain access to compartment handle.
4. Remove the compartment handle assembly.



Installation Procedure

1. Install new handle assembly to compartment door.
2. Ensure the linkage for the top compartment door are all connected before installing the inside panel.

Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice Service Precautions in Cautions and Notices.

3. Install the inside panel screws.

Tighten the screws to 1.6 Nm (14 lb in).

4. Inspect the operation of the top compartment door




5. Install the compartment door to the I/P. Refer toInstrument Panel Compartment Door Replacement (Instrument Panel Compartment Door Replacement) .
