FIXED ANTENNA REPLACEMENT
REMOVAL PROCEDURE
1. Push the antenna mast boot (2) up in order to access the antenna mast (1) for removal.
2. Remove the antenna mast (1).
3. Remove the intake air duct screws (3).
4. Remove the intake air duct.
5. Remove the antenna base screws (1).
6. Remove the passenger kick panel.
7. Disconnect the antenna base/cable from the instrument panel (I/P) extension cable.
8. Attach a piece of wire or string to the antenna cable end at the kick panel.
IMPORTANT: Attach a piece of mechanics wire or string to the antenna cable before the cable is removed from the body to ease installation and ensure proper routing after the cable/antenna base is replaced.
9. Remove the antenna cable/base (2) from the vehicle, leave the mechanics wire or string with the body.
INSTALLATION PROCEDURE
1. Attach the mechanics wire or string, used during removal, to the replacement antenna base/cable (2).
2. Seat the body pass through grommet.
3. Install the antenna base screws (1).
NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions.
Tighten the screw to 7.5 N.m (71 lb in).
4. Connect the cable to the I/P extension cable.
5. Install the passenger kick panel.
6. Install the intake air duct.
7. Install the intake air duct screws.
Tighten the screws to 1.6 N.m (14 lb in).
8. Install the antenna mast.
9. Seat the antenna mast boot.
