LOCK ACTUATOR REPLACEMENT - LIFTGATE

REMOVAL PROCEDURE
1. Remove the liftgate trim panel.
2. Disconnect the lock actuator electrical connector.




3. Remove the fastener (1) retaining the control arm to the actuator.

IMPORTANT: Note location of arm prior to removal.

4. Remove the fastener (2) retaining the actuator to control arm assembly plate,
5. Slide the actuator upward, and remove the actuator from the plate.

INSTALLATION PROCEDURE




1. Align the tabs on the actuator to the grooves (3) on the control assembly plate, and slide the actuator down into position.
2. Install fastener (2) retaining the actuator to the control assembly plate.

NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions.

3. Install fastener (1) retaining the control arm to the actuator.

IMPORTANT: Install the control arm in the position noted during removal.

Tighten the fasteners to 2 N.m (18 lb in).

4. Install the liftgate trim panel.

Tighten the fastener to 2 N.m (18 lb in).
