Lock Actuator Replacement - Liftgate

Removal Procedure

1. Remove the liftgate trim panel. Refer to Trim Panel Replacement - Liftgate (Trim Panel Replacement - Liftgate) .
2. Disconnect the lock actuator electrical connector.





Important: Note location of arm prior to removal.


3. Remove the fastener (1) retaining the control arm to the actuator.
4. Remove the fastener (2) retaining the actuator to control arm assembly plate,
5. Slide the actuator upward, and remove the actuator from the plate.



Installation Procedure





1. Align the tabs on the actuator to the grooves (3) on the control assembly plate, and slide the actuator down into position.

Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in Cautions and Notices.

2. Install fastener (2) retaining the actuator to the control assembly plate.

Important: Install the control arm in the position noted during removal.


3. Install fastener (1) retaining the control arm to the actuator.

Tighten the fasteners to 2 Nm (18 lb in).

4. Install the liftgate trim panel. Refer to Trim Panel Replacement - Liftgate (Trim Panel Replacement - Liftgate) .

Tighten the fastener to 2 Nm (18 lb in).
