Hinge Replacement - Endgate Lower - Body Side

Removal Procedure

1. Remove the endgate from the vehicle. Refer toEndgate Replacement (Service and Repair) .
2. Mark the position of the endgate hinge using a grease pencil.




3. Remove the bolts retaining the hinge trunnion to the vehicle.
4. Remove the hinge trunnion from the vehicle.



Installation Procedure





1. Install the hinge trunnion to the vehicle.
2. Position the hinge in the same position as marked during removal.

Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in Cautions and Notices.

3. Install the bolts retaining the hinge to the body.

Tighten the hinge to body bolts to 25 Nm (19 lb ft).

4. Install the endgate to the vehicle. Refer toEndgate Replacement (Service and Repair) .
5. Inspect and adjust the endgate alignment, if needed.
