Hinge Replacement - Endgate Lower - Endgate Side

Removal Procedure





1. Remove the endgate from the vehicle. Refer toEndgate Replacement (Service and Repair) .
2. Place the endgate on a protected surface.




3. Remove the bolts retaining the hinge trunnion to the endgate.
4. Remove the hinge trunnion from the endgate.



Installation Procedure





1. Install the hinge trunnion to the endgate.

Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in Cautions and Notices.

2. Install the bolts retaining the hinge to the endgate.

1. Tighten the lower forward bolt (2) to 25 Nm (19 lb ft).
2. Tighten the lower rear bolt (1) to 25 Nm (19 lb ft).






3. Install the endgate to the vehicle. Refer toEndgate Replacement (Service and Repair) .
