Condition
Implementation of this service bulletin requires prior District Service Manager approval.
Some customers may comment that the lower body cladding door handle bezels and the front and rear bumpers are discolored or chalky.
Correction
Apply *GATORBACK Textured Plastic Coatings.
All personnel should read the Material Safety Data Sheet before using this product.
Make sure that the surface is washed clean and dried before applying. This product will not bond to surfaces that are not cleaned. GATORBACK should not be applied within a 90 day time frame of any prior molding dressing application.
Procedure
Wash the vehicle.
Remove the door handles and disassemble.
Remove the wheel opening flares rocker panel molding hood air grille front and rear bumper covers and the bumper filler/extensions.
Clean all the parts with Gatorback Textured Plastic Cleaner following the manufacturers recommendations.
Scuff the surfaces with *3M Scotch-Brite(TM) Ultra fine Pad Gray 37448 and water.
Clean all the parts with Gatorback Textured Plastic Cleaner following the manufacturers recommendations.
Spray Gatorback Textured Plastic Coating following the manufacturers recommendations.
Apply Gatorback Coating Anti Fuel Staining Topcoat on the cladding near the fuel filler door.
