Trailer Hitch Replacement (SUV)

Removal Procedure





1. Remove the bumper. Refer toBumper Replacement - Rear (SUV) (Bumper Replacement - Rear (SUV))Bumper Replacement - Rear (SUT) (Bumper Replacement - Rear (SUT)) in Bumpers.
2. Remove any electrical or air suspension components from the hitch.
3. Remove the hitch bolts from the frame.
4. Remove the hitch from the vehicle.



Installation Procedure





1. Install the hitch to the vehicle.

Notice: Refer toFastener Notice in Cautions and Notices.

2. Install the hitch bolts to the frame.

Tighten the bolts to 100 Nm (74 lb ft).

3. Install the electrical or air suspension components to the hitch.
4. Install the bumper. Refer toBumper Replacement - Rear (SUV) (Bumper Replacement - Rear (SUV))Bumper Replacement - Rear (SUT) (Bumper Replacement - Rear (SUT)) in Bumpers.
