Power Brake Booster Outlet Hose Replacement
Removal Procedure
Notice: Refer to Power Steering Hose Disconnected Notice.
1. Position a drain pan under the vehicle.
Important: While performing service on power steering system components that are disconnected, plug or cap all openings. Failure to do so could result in contamination or loss of power steering fluid and damage to the system
2. Compress the clamp (1) and disconnect the brake booster outlet hose (2) from the brake booster.
3. Compress the clamp (1) and disconnect the brake booster outlet hose (2) from the power steering pump.
Important: Note the brake booster outlet hose routing prior to removal to aid during installation.
4. Remove the brake booster outlet hose from the vehicle.
Installation Procedure
Notice: The inlet and outlet hoses must not be twisted during installation. Do not bend or distort the inlet or outlet hoses to make installation easier. Failure to follow these procedures could result in component damage.
1. Position the brake booster outlet hose to the vehicle.
2. Compress the clamp (1) and connect the brake booster outlet hose (2)to the power steering pump.
3. Compress the clamp (1) and connect the brake booster outlet hose (2) to the brake booster.
4. Remove the drain pan from under the vehicle.
5. Fill and bleed the power steering system. Refer to Power Steering System Bleeding.
