DESCRIPTION:





When installing the Tiburon Shark Spoiler Kit (part no. 08340-27200) on base model units, it is necessary to reverse the wires in the spoiler extension wire harness connector due to the voltage polarity of the Light Emitting Diodes (LEDs) in the spoiler brake light. Failure to reverse the wires will result in an inoperable spoiler brake light.

Note:
The Shark spoiler should not be retrofitted to an FX trim level Tiburon. The existing spoiler mounting holes do not align with the Shark spoiler.

SERVICE PROCEDURE:

1. Follow the normal procedures for installing the Tiburon Shark Spoiler Kit up to section "D" (Mounting the Spoiler) of the Spoiler Installation Instructions.





2. Using an awl, remove the black and green wires from the female connector of the spoiler extension wire harness (included in spoiler kit) by prying back the plastic latch that holds the wires in place. Reverse their position.

3. Continue with the installation procedures for the Shark Spoiler Kit.

4. Ensure that the spoiler brake light is functioning properly.
