Install the cylinder head bolts. Starting at top center, tighten all cylinder head bolts in sequence as shown in illustration, using the Cylinder Head Bolt Wrench(09221 -11001). Repeat the procedure, retightening all cylinder head bolt to the specified torque.

Cylinder head bolt
M10: 30 Nm (300 kg.cm, 22 ft. lbs.) + (60° - 65°) + (60° - 65°)
M12: 35Nm (350 kg.cm, 26 ft. lbs.) + (60° - 65°) + (60° - 65°)






Camshaft Bearing Cap Bolt Tightening sequence


Rocker cover bolt: 8 - 10 Nm (80 - 100 kg.cm, 5.9 - 7.4 ft. lbs.)
Tensioner pulley installing bolt: 43 - 55 Nm (430 - 550 kg.cm, 32 - 41 ft. lbs.)
Timing belt cover bolt: 8 - 10 Nm (80 - 100 kg.cm, 6 - 7.4 ft. lbs.)
Crankshaft pulley bolt: 170 - 180 Nm (1700 - 1800 kg.cm, 125 - 133 ft. lbs.)

M10-8T Bolt 4.6 - 5.3 kg.m. (33 - 38 ft. lbs.)
