Exhaust Manifold: Service and Repair

REMOVAL





1. Remove the heat protector.




2. Remove the exhaust manifold.
3. Remove the exhaust manifold gasket.


INSPECTION
1. Check for damage or cracking.

2. Using a straight edge and feeler gauge, check for distortion on the cylinder head matching surface.

Standard value: 0.15 mm (0.006 in.) Service limit : 0.3 mm (0.012 in.)

3. Check the exhaust manifold for damage and cracking.

INSTALLATION





1. Install the exhaust manifold with its gasket.


Tightening torque:
Exhaust manifold
M8: 25-30 N.m (250-300 kg.cm, 18-22 lb.ft)
10: 35-55 N.m (350-550 kg.cm, 25-40 lb.ft

NOTE:
Do not use the used exhaust manifold gaskeL




2. Install the heat protector.
