Brake Proportioning/Combination Valve: Description and Operation

PROPORTIONING VALVE
The proportioning valve distributes the proper fluid pressure to the front and rear wheels to obtain greater braking efficiency and prevents premature rear wheel lock-up and skid. Do not disassemble the proportioning valve because the performance of the valve is closely connected to the mounting tension of the spring.
