Manual Update Procedure

NOTE:
In the event that option "01. XG350 ACCELERATION [AUTO MODE]" fails to download the new ECM program, option "02. XG350 ACCELERATION (ERROR MODE]" must be used.

1. Turn the ignition to the ON position.

2. Turn the Hi-Scan Pro ON and press ENTER.





3. Select option "20. XG350 ACCELERATION" and press ENTER.





4. Select option "02. XG350 ACCELERATION [ERROR MODE]" and press ENTER.





5. Select option "01. XG350-IMMOB" and enter 9680 for the password. Then press ENTER.

NOTE:
Always select option 01. Option 02 applies to Canadian vehicles only.





6. The Hi-Scan Pro will reprogram the ECM automatically. Wait until the reprogramming is complete.





WARNING:

^ Do not interrupt the reprogramming at any time. The ECM will be rendered inoperative if the program does not download completely

^ If the program does not download during the manual update mode, turn the ignition oft for 2-3 minutes and try again.





7. The Hi-Scan Pro re-initializes the system.





8. When the "COMPLETED" message is displayed, the ECM reprogramming process is complete.

NOTE:

^ The new ECM ID is displayed when the new ECM software download process is complete.

^ Check the new ECM ID displayed on the Hi-Scan Pro screen to verify that the correct ECM software has been downloaded.

^ Refer to the ECM specification table shown in this TSB.

9. When the reprogramming is completed successfully, turn the ignition to the OFF position for 20 seconds and then start the engine for proper operation.
