REVISED CLUTCH COMPONENTS FOR MANUAL TRANSAXLES

THIS TSB SUPERSEDES 04-40-005 TO PROVIDE AN UPDATED PART NUMBER FOR THE
DUAL MASS FLYWHEEL ASSEMBLY.

Description:
This bulletin provides updated parts information for 2003MY GK Tiburon vehicles equipped with a 2.7L V6 engine and manual transaxle produced through April 1, 2003.

The new dual mass flywheel, clutch disc, clutch cover and release bearing are described in this bulletin.

Applicable Vehicles:
2003MY GK Tiburon with 2.7L V6 and manual transaxles produced through April 1, 2003.

Service Procedure:

1. Verify the condition reported by the customer as clutch-related.

2. Confirm that the vehicle was produced before April 1, 2003.

3. Replace the dual mass flywheel, clutch disc, clutch cover, and clutch release bearing (with new part numbers provided in the PARTS INFORMATION table, in this TSB) using the procedures outlined in the applicable shop manual.

4. Refer to TSB 03-40-011 and TSB 02-40-025 for additional service procedures for the pull-type clutch system.
