Engine Control - P0650 Malfunction Indicator Lamp (MIL) Control Circuit - Component Inspection

Component Inspection

1. Key "OFF".
2. Disconnect ECM connector.
3. Short terminal 51 of PCM harness connector to Ground. [A/T]
Short terminal 70 of ECM harness connector to Ground. [M/T]
A. Specification : MIL ON.












4. Is the Engine MIL lamp lighting normally?
YES
1) Substitute with a known-good ECM and check for proper operation. If the problem is corrected, replace ECM and then go to "Verification of Vehicle Repair" procedure.
NO
1) Substitute with a known-good Cluster and check for proper operation. If the problem is corrected, replace Cluster and then go to "Verification of Vehicle Repair" procedure.
