General Description

In order to make normal activation of airbag system, SRSCM monitors the Passenger side Body sensor.
If the seat is accupied, Bodysense sensor detects how passenger weighs and send signal to ACU via CAN.
ACU rcognizes the signal as 3(three) different classifications; that is, 0(Empty), 1(Small), 2(Large).With these signal, ACU determines whether it needs to deploy PAB(Passenger Airbag) or not.

DTC Description

The SRSCM sets DTC B1490 if there is any fault in Passenger side PODS-F sensor Mat.
DTC is set if Airbag ECU receives fault message from Passenger side PODS-F sensor Mat via CAN communication.
