DTC Description

Due to EMS communication error, starting is impossible.
This code is to check the communication between PCM and SMK.
If the communication error from PCM is set, it displays this DTC "EMS CAN Communication error"(Data frame error, timeout error, Checksum error, Inconsistency for ID)

General Description

SMK unit communicates with ECM/PCM through the serial communication line. If PCM requests authentication from SMK unit after IG ON, SMK unit check authentication with transponder then, sends this signal to PCM whether authentication is O.K or not.
