P0205 Injector Circuit/Open - Cylinder 5 - General Information

General Description

Injectors jet out high pressure fuel caculated by PCM to each cyliders. Direct and separated injections improve fuel efficiency and engine power.
The IDB(injector driver box) controls injector operation. If the IDB receives signal for injector operation from PCM, IDB boosts the voltage and uses current by voltage difference between HIGH and LOW side of injector circuit as injector operating current.

DTC Description

If there is Open in injector #5 circuit (IDB ~ injector #5), PCM sets DTC P0205.
