Lock Cylinder Replacement - Endgate

Removal Procedure

1. Swing open the endgate.
2. Remove the endgate trim panel.
3. Remove the endgate inner panel reinforcement.




4. Disconnect the electrical connector (2) from the lock cylinder.
5. Use a flat-bladed tool to depress the retainers (3) on the lock cylinder to release it from the slots (1) license plate pocket.
6. Remove the lock cylinder from the vehicle.

Installation Procedure

1. Code the new lock cylinder.




2. Install the lock cylinder to the vehicle.
3. Press the lock cylinder into the license plate pocket until the retainers (3) are fully seated in the slots (1) of the license plate pocket.
4. Connect the electrical connector (2) to the lock cylinder.
5. Install the inner panel reinforcement.
6. Install the inner trim panel.
