Torque Rod Replacement - Endgate

Removal Procedure




1. Swing open the endgate.
2. Remove the bolts retaining the torque rod to the endgate.
3. Remove the torque rod from the endgate and hinge assembly.

Installation Procedure




1. Install the torque rod to the endgate and hinge assembly.

Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions.

2. Install the bolts retaining the torque rod to the endgate.

Tighten the torque rod bolts to 25 N.m (18 lb ft).

3. Close the endgate.
