Service Information

The purpose of this bulletin is to inform dealer technicians and the glass shop technicians of the acoustic laminated windshield which is a new design windshield.

When ordering a windshield for any Ascender model, verify if the vehicle is equipped with RAINSENSE(TM) RPO CE1 or Y91 or not and order accordingly.

Only the acoustic laminated windshield is available for 2005-2006 Ascenders.





NOTE:
Due to the difference in processing, along with the difference in the curvature of the glass, the optics of the glass may appear wavy on a cross-car view from outside the vehicle. This is a normal condition and the windshield glass should not be replaced for this condition. The view through the glass from the driver's position is clear and not affected.

IMPORTANT:
Replace the windshield ONLY if there is a wavy condition or any type of distortion as seen from the driver's seating position that is within the wipe zone on the windshield.
