Striker Replacement - Endgate Upper Lock - Left

Removal Procedure

1. Remove the left tail lamp assembly.
2. Swing open the endgate.




3. Remove the sealing strip (1) covering the striker access hole.




4. Remove the nuts (4) retaining the upper striker (1) to the body.
5. Remove the upper striker and shim, if equipped, from the vehicle.

Installation Procedure




1. Install the upper striker (1) and shim, if equipped, to the vehicle.
2. Install the nuts (4) retaining the upper striker to the vehicle.

Tighten the nuts only until the striker will not rock up and down, but can slide up and down.

Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions.

3. Close the endgate so that it is fully latched.

Tighten the upper striker nuts to 25 N.m (18 lb ft).




4. Install the sealing strip (1) covering the striker access hole.
5. Install the left tail lamp assembly.
