Striker Replacement - Endgate Upper Lock - Right

Removal Procedure




1. Open the endgate (drop mode).
2. Using a grease pencil, mark the position of the right upper striker.
3. Remove the bolts (1) retaining the right upper striker to the vehicle.
4. Remove the striker and shim, if equipped, from the vehicle.

Installation Procedure




1. Install the striker and shim, if equipped, to the vehicle.
2. Position the striker to the body using the alignment marks.

Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions.

3. Install the bolts (1) retaining the striker to the vehicle.

Tighten the bolts to 30 N.m (22 lb ft).

4. Close the endgate, inspecting for proper operation and alignment. Refer to Endgate Adjustment.
